More on the Occult and the nature of Psychic phenomenon (2): Telepathy

with 2 comments

Hey Friends,

It has been a busy week indeed. I am sorry I took so long to get back to this post, but you know you have to go where life tell you before life kicks you in the ass to make you hurry lol.

So what always happensyou talk of telepathy and since it cannot be supposedly demonstrated repeatedly un conditions that people normally do experiments, telepathy is generally laughed or you get one or two cooky prof who work as some Institute of parapsychology, and are the laughing stock of psychology. Ironic I feel because psychology has in a way ignored the ghosts in its own machine.

But anyways, one thing science hasnt learned is that the experimentor plays a significant roll in the experiment that cannot necessarily be measured. I mean beyond the level of bias etc. I mean just his very presence and or state of mind can influence the out come of things. I am sure all of you have been standing next to a loved on in a particular state of mind  that made it uncomfortable or a bit strange to be around.  That influenced your mind and subsequent actions.

When people come up to you and tell you “yeah telepathy is all bullshit, show me prove it to me”, you have to realize that if you can do that telepathic stuff its not for show, the negative state of midn of the observer actually influences what you cna pick up, and how well you can harmonize with him/her. and that people usually of this temperment have so specific requirements as to the conditions that things will be proven correct to them that its impossible to win.

Another secret is that ‘a lot of time you can interpret somethign by watching really closely how you change in responce to someonese presence. if your mind can be clears for  a second like a wind swept lake it can become a mirror and reflect all the things around it, allowing for high perceptions.  because by detaching yourself away from the people you are with or your endless supply of thoughts you begin to nothing little things that may perhaps get lost in the noise. You notice patterns.

This brings to mind of some the 11 responsibilities of a darvish of the Naqshbandi order, this jsut came to mind and I am using them as an example of what happens when teh mind/and or consciousness is quieted to the point where it can become a mirror

The Eleven Rules of the Naqshbandiyya
                                               (MASTERS of the Design)

Eleven mnemonic phrases refere to the framework within which the Sufis Development takes place in the school often called the original teaching system of the Sufis.

Rule 3: Travel in Ones’s own land – Exploration of the students own minf  by himself, establishing  the watchfulness connected with the transformation of the self.

Rule 4: Solitude in Company – The ability to remove one’s consciousness from company, as well as to re attach it

Rule 7: Watchfulness : the exclusion of distraction and  alertness for subtle perceptions

I have to add here that one of the biggest deterrents in occultism or its practrice rather is a mind that is no under control. Meaning if you had to silence all your thoughts at once to be able to fully put your attention ( attention in soem sufi school is considered to be another sense , one that we dont know and havent learned how to really use) on a problem, or to live in the present? (which is exactly what sufism has been described as).

As I know there are only a certain select tool available to both the occultist and the mystic to ge their mind under control, and from my experience those tool are meditation and zekr. I will talk about both of them in the next post and reply to a comment froma  future darvish about zekr.

till next time

Dave

Again jsut to note in mentioning sufism I am doing it not to win supporters for it. I am not entirely sure I would be doing you a favor. It has been hard on me following the path but infinitely rewarding. i offer sufism (my experience of it) to contrast with words common words and phrases all students of teh occult or of all things higher are familiar with to provide something I never had when I was  first learning and reading about this field of endeavor

  1. I like the rule of solitude in company. It reminds me of being a mindful observer. Being able to distance yourself from the situation, in order to observe it more clearly. Is this the correct interpretation from the Sufi perspective?
