Looking back on the election -The American People have spoken, and will remain silent now for 4 years? – My take on our voices as Americans

Hello people,

I have been looking back on the election and I have noticed something I want to share with you. During the election  ther was great emphasis on the american voice and how it has to be heard. Everyone’s voice is so important especially now when we need change. But what is the american voice. According to the commericals our voice as americans ( adn these applies to everyone everyone) can only be heard when we vote. America only speaks when there is an election.

Is this so ? I dotn think so. When women wanted to enter american society and vote, they made soem noise and when it was loud enough that no one could get away from it, women were granted legally the right to vote. When any country under the firm hand of tyranny wanted freedom they made noises , of course some  got killed but the noise made after each act of injustice was deafening. When the South Africans wanted to end apartheid noise heard around the world, same for civil rights. Legal and governmental acceptance always comes way after the fact.

I think those adds telling us to make our voiced heard where great!!! amazing, but in a way defeatist, because they showed only  one small example how our voice can be heard. In addition, you have a voice as a human being as a conscious entity, though we are born in America  we are citizens of the world.

What happens here affects the middle east africa and europe and vice versa. We are no longer an island on the personal, community national and international scale. You voice is a million times more powerful than you think it is. Your neighborhood is so much m,ore vaster than your think it is.

What do u think

Dave
