Jean Sempe, Abbe Julio, Hidden Christian Traditions – Marvellous Prayer for the Healing of all the Sickness Physical and Moral

Hey Everyone,

This book came into my hands in an unusual way. To tell you about the book, the book is actually a collection of christian prayers that were compiled by this man named Jean Sempe. Let me tell you about Jean Sempe from the Preface

January 9th 1892 diedin Vincennes a man full of virtue and days under his belt. He was called Jean Sempe. He was a simple man andhad no formal education, neverhtless he was a great man in the eyes of God and a good number of persons in France, even in other countries. We have cried and cried again having heard the long list of his good deed enumerated before us, these good deeds being  the miraculous healings obtains through his prayers……..

This good and saintly old man that we have had the pleaure and good will of knowing personally, and the honor of becoming such close frienhat we were able to learn the most intimate details of his life towards told to us during his last days on this earth……..

This extraordinary power to heal the most hopeless sickeness, Jean Sempe possessed to the highest degree. Its by the hundreds that one counts the successful healings, but Jean Sempe declared humblely that he didnt have this power in himself, he had received/learned from another old man. He told us that he prayed, and was made to pray with him [the old man who was his teacher], blessed and magnetised water, salts oil and chased all sickness solely in the name of Jesus and it is by Jesus that the sickness went away.

So this book is a compilation of prayers that Jean Sempe used to heal the sick, some from great antiquity, some from more recent times. Looking at the prayers and how they are presented at least for me shed more light on a lot a facet of christianity that was in operation, sort of like an undercurrent. I am working on an english translation  just for a few poeple interested but nothing can compare to the beauty in the french langauge.

Obviously the questions is that do I believe this? am I not skeptical? Was this guy for real ? all the normal questions. If you want I can further talk about the book and translate some parts, for you  tell  me what you think

This morning I did a web search on Abbe Julio, as I do from time to time and found your blog. I found several references like this one and the one on 9/28/08 that brought joy and light to my heart. Though I don’t speak or read French, I have been powerfully influenced by Abbe Julio, Jean Sempe, Paul Sedir, Mouni Sadhu etc. Their spirit has taken me and my devotion to a ministry of healing to new heights. I do have a computer program that does some basic translation, so I am not completely illiterate. Still the Spirit speaks volumes. If there are some who can tell me more about the Little Old Catholic Apostolic Church, I would appreciate hearing from them. I look forward to reading your blog.
